Quick Hits: Nation's Leading Rusher Kevin Smith Will Return to UCF

With the amount of talented players expected to enter this year’s NFL Draft, it’s no surprise that college football’s leading rusher will return for his senior season. Kevin Smith announced his decision Tuesday at UCF’s regularly scheduled press conference. In his statements he talked about his reasons for staying, the possibility of becoming the leading rusher of all-time and how he can improve on a 2,448 yard regular season, second all-time to Barry Sanders’ 2,628 yard season in 1988. Giving Back: George Martin's "Journey for 9/11"

If you’re driving near US-70 and Route 40 in Jackson, Tenn. today and you see a tall man in running shoes, a jacket and spandex walking along side the road, it’s likely to be former New York Giants' defensive end George Martin. The Greenville, S.C. native is walking across America from New York City to San Francisco, Calif., in an attempt to raise money for the medical care of the 9/11 first responders. The 54-year old’s goal is to collect $10 million by the time he reaches the Golden Gate Bridge.
