When sumag.com was launched in the fall, the purpose of this blog was rather ambiguous. The posts were intermittent and provided links to Southeast sports news. Occasionally a column or story would appear but it was more experimentation than anything else. Over time, though, we’ve learned how to narrow our goals and expectations for this blog, and become more in tune with our reader, the Southeast sports fan.
The Southeast sports fan…wishes college football was played year-round…religiously follows the NCAA basketball tournament in March…plays golf and tennis, and tunes into golf’s four majors and two (U.S. Open & Wimbledon) of tennis’ four Grand Slams…doesn’t regularly watch soccer but has probably played it and follows the World Cup every four years…loves the Braves…and enjoys quality beer, fresh Gulf and Atlantic seafood and real barbeque.
This blog serves as place for commentary, live coverage and news about the Southeast fan experience. If you have any questions, comments or ideas for James, email james@sportsunlimitedmag.com.
